Understanding a COA

What identity, purity and content results show—and the limits of each document.

01

What a COA is

A certificate of analysis summarises selected test results for an identified sample or batch. Useful reports normally show the sample reference, method, date, result and issuing laboratory.

02

Identity, purity and content

Identity testing asks whether the expected compound is detected. Purity describes the proportion represented by the target material within the measured sample. Content testing estimates how much target material is present.

A high purity percentage is not the same as confirming the declared quantity, sterility or suitability for a particular use.

03

Check the match

The report’s sample or batch reference should match the public product record. PepWow may publish selected results while keeping laboratory contacts, supplier information and internal review notes private.

PEPWOW KEY POINT

Match the physical label with the current public record and contact PepWow if any important detail differs.
